This doctoral training network is at the intersection of ports and renewable energy. POTENT brings together a multidisciplinary network of social science and engineering scholars from leading European research institutions. We work closely with ports, public agencies, industry, and research organizations to address the collective action problem of the green transition.
The Universities that are hosting the Doctoral Candidates in this MSCA Network are Copenhagen Business School, Chalmers University of Technology, the Technical University of Denmark, Kühne Logistics University, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, World Maritime University, the Norwegian School of Economics, and Kedge Business School.
In addition to the academic institutions listed above, our students will also spend time working in industry with institutions such as the World Bank, the United Nations, the Suez Canal Authority, the Port of Marseilles, the Port of Esbjerg, and many others.
We aim to train a new generation of scholars with unique academic knowledge of the maritime energy space, proficiency in modeling and mixed-methods research, and practical expertise. Our doctoral candidates will engage in interdisciplinary and intersectoral training, working on individual research projects that cut across multiple work packages and involve collaboration with supervisors from various universities and industry partners.
